| So I normally hate Black Friday because members are bitchy, people are tired, and generally chaos rules...
Well...today was...
AWESOME!
Got to spend the entire day at the Jewlery counter showing jewelry and helping members find things. Was only on the desk for about 2 hours, spent the rest of my 10 hours shift standing at the counter...

| So...Basically, BJ's sucks...

I had asked for this weekend off ABOUT A MONTH AGO!
I DID FOLLOW UP and found that it was approved (Friday and Saturday 100%, and I assumed Sunday)
Well, I WASN'T wrong
I left the con to my and Oos' dissapointment (Oos, I am going to make it up to you...I do not know how yet, but I will...you name it - DONE!) to head to work because LISA (yeah, I'm going to pull names into this) was off on a tangent about how 'It's your responisibility to follow up' and ' I know you have things to do, but I have a business to run'
Basically, yanno, guilt-tripping their favorite slave (I'm not an employee, I'm a slave...infact, ask ANYONE who left the company...you'll see) into LEAVING HER WEEKEND, even though it WAS APPROVED!
That's right, I was RIGHT! TODAY WAS APPROVED, but since they schedueled me and I (who didn't even bother to LOOK because I KNEW I had today OFF) didn't 'follow up' or question - it's my fault...
Now here's the kicker...I said I wasn't wrong...

Scuttlebutt has it that it was JODI and not LISA who wanted me in. Someone (who shall remain nameless) told me that she heard Jodi talking and heard her say that I WAS APPROVED, but since I didn't call attention to the sced. (which, once again, I only saw for the first time TODAY because I had things to do Thursday night (which I recall staying late for as well) for this weekend)
Don't cha just love how retail will give you something then take it back...S'not right man, s'not right...
BJ's, I've given you nearly TWO YEARS of SLAVE LABOR now! I think I deserve some time away from you. Don't like that I want time off...You shouldn't have trained me to do so much!\

And despite it being on our badges and paychecks...we're not really MEMBERS FIRST...My guess is it took A LOT of complaints to get us to be like we are now...
You know the only reason we do things for you members? Is so that you'll keep coming back to give us MORE MONEY! Because that's all we care about...so you can have that $10 thing of Chowda' you forgot in the carrage because you're a dumb fuck, because we know if we do that...you'll come back another time and spend even more money! Plus, you'll tell friends and they'll come to spend money.
Yeah, I get pissed off by members who take Trials...I don't care that they are still spending money, and I know we can't discriminate, but you know what...SHOPPING AT BJ'S is a privilage...WHY I LOVE 1-DAY PASSES IN 10 WORDS OR LESS: They have a surcharge. You pay more!
WE should bring back the surcharge on the Trials, or better yet...you have to PAY for it! $15 for the '3 months' you get...when for just $30 more you can get 14 months depending on if we have a special. So instead of having to pay $15 for every 3 months you want (and since we only do trials twice a year), you'll pay $30 for one card for '6 months' that aren't consecutive, when for just an extra $15, you could have gotten an extra 8 months...
THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS, 14 months for the price of 9! (if you break it down, 45/3 = 15. So by paying for 9 months, you get 5 extra ones -A $25 value {$5 a month}- YOUR'S FREE!

| Once again, for the SIXTH year in a row, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra has failed to dissapoint me.
WHile they did skip over some of their usual songs, they more than made up for it by doing many kickass song of Night Castle (an album I've only waited about 3 years for now)
I'm exausted from waiting to meet the band , but you know what...It was worth it.
I'm tired and and hungry, and having to go to work, but let me leave you with one final review:

Xaaven, the tank has a cover on it...So you might not want to jump as high as you like too (Stupid fish nearly brained himself on the hood of the tank when he jumpped while eating)
Trey, always have your way out planned BEFORE you swim into something (Stupid pleco got himself stuck in the octopus' head. I only found him when I saw the head moving a lot)
BETTA BOWLS
Goose, there's a plant in your tank. It is solid and you can't swim through it unless you weave between the stems. (Stupid betta swam into the stem of the plant)
GOLDFISH
Chell, there's a bunch of flakes floating around and on the bottom...Why do you insist on trying to eat the flakes that fall near Eric? (Stupid eggfish chases around Eric to try and get a tiny little flake when there arre fifty big ones right below her on the bottom)
Way-Loach, stay away from the filter and also out of the reach of Chell's mouth (Stupid loach damn near got herself nommed by Chell during feeding time when she hid in a pile of food)
VISITING GOLDFISH
Kirk, how did you get yourself stuck behind the air filter? (Stupid fish got his fat ass stuck)
Spock, don't bite off more than you can chew. (Stupid fish eats a flake the size of Kirk in a few swallows, proceeds to spit it all up, then re-eat it)

| So for my Robin Cosplay, I've concluded that I need (minimum requirments):
Blonde Wig
Long white gloves - elbow lenght
Short-sleeved white shirt with shooting star across chest (tail left, star right)
Tight blue pants
High black boots
Helmet
Bigger boobs
Now looking at her on the title screen, I've noticed that the top of her shirt (where the sleeves meet the rest) that there is a line of blue, then the cut of the neck is green. This means, I might have to either get some fabric paint and paint a shirt, or sit down and sew...suggestions here?
The helmet is going to be easy. I have my old Riding Helmet in the basement. Here I have two options, I can paint it...or make a cover. I'm thinking the cover will be easier because it just needs to be a fabric pull-over (like a tea cosy) with a dark blue stripe on the bottom, a light blue stripe above, then white until the middle where I think is a yellow star in the center (I can't quite tell). Also, that will be easier because the helmet is full of holes!
Now since she's not really that well known of a character...I'm trying to devise a way so people know who I am. I'm thinking making a name badge for 'Paradigm Aviation' and also whipping up a set of 'Pilotwings' (the badges you get for completing the trials). Maybe for shits and giggles, I bring along my little blue R/C helicopter, or perhaps a FAR/AIM, or maybe just my whole fucking flight bag. | | new comment entry or Make a note |
| So Vamp-tran is basically 98% complete.
She has for the costume: A dress - Black and red Victorian lace-up style
A pair of black and red wings (should be fun to drive with those on)
Fangs (have to figure out how to make them stay)
A wig - Black with white streaks
A silver dragon necklace (Why should I spend like $7 on a fake necklace when I have a nice $15 REAL one?)
White or black gloves (easier than using paint)
As for the make-up, I'm thinking of going white face with red lip stick and some red around the eyes.
Only thing left is to find my black leather shoes...I have a pair somewhere that I bought but never really wear...them, and maybe a pair of black stockings... | | new comment entry or Make a note |
| So, I'm starting to carve the stone of the Halloween plan. What with Oos moving and all, it put a wrench in the original plan, but we can deal!

Meet-up: 10:30-ish at Oos' Place
On the road to Maine NO LATER than 11:15
Hang out in Maine till around 3-ish
Head back down to Derry to help Oos unpack
DINNER!
Then we durp around like we always do...Until around 9-ish, Nagi does have work tomorow and make-up can sometimes be a bitch to get oss odd OFF!
Yes, I felt compelled to keep my mistypes and just cross them oof OFF! Took me 3 fucking attempts to get it correct!

| So so sooooooooooooooooo,
I've been asked a few times about our plans for this Halloween...
And let me tell you...
The following plan has not yet been carved into the tombstone, so it's subject to change:
COSTUME MUST BE WORN ALL DAY (Unless heat or other elements beyoond our control make that impossible)
BUt I think we'll probably meet up at Oos (Oos, this is so you and I can do our make-up (you your zombie skin and me my vamp. skin) around 11:30 - 12 ish. or sooner depending on what everyone wants to do.
Then we'll hit the road* for someplace (Maybe to Maine to Kittery, unless anyone else has an idea of someplace they want to go...but remember, Maine does mean Candy Store...Although we could also chill out on the Seacoast, head to Hampton and hit the boardwalk arcades and junk)
Whereever we end up, we shall durp around in costume, have some fun, grab some lunch, and generally be stupid (ok, so not much different than what we usually do)
When we have had enough of where ever we end up (by that I mean, before rush hour hits, which means back on the road towards Salem around 4-ish) we'll head back here to Salem for more stupidity. Dinner will also be gotten during this time (Any ideas? I would personally like to go to a place where we can sit and eat (Ghouls night out *shot!*)
If we don't want to travel, we can hang out in Salem. The Field of dreams was fun (TF2 Cosplay run for the win!) We could take a walk in the woods and scare anyone within...or whatever
BUT THERE WE HAVE IT!
A tentative idea for Halloween. As I said, it's not set in stone so we can change it...however, I'd like to have it set in the tombstone before Halloween (maybe by wednesday?) So, if anyone has ANY ideas or things they want done...LEAVE A COMMENT!

Try as I might on the internet, I just can not find a list of the Japanese names of the Pilotwings Crews (both the SNES and the 64 version)
Only one I know is Hooter - who's name was later changed to Robin for censorship (In fact, the Robin name came from Robin Krause, a game play counselor)

| Nagi's Pumpkin for this year. Originally it was going to just be a wild horse running out of the flames of hell...but flames proved just too hard for me to draw in a way I was happy with so it was: Fuck that *draws the Grim Reaper, Puts them infront of a moon*

| So I thought I was going to be good with Halloween, what with doing a Vamp-Tran costume and all...
But no...Brain decided to want to make me rather indecisive suddenly after a little dream I had.
I am now torn between Vamp-Tran, Devi-Tran, or Demon-Tran
Here's the breakdown on the three ideas, and what they take:
Vamp-Tran - Vampire Catherine
Red & Black Goth Dress
Black Wig w/White Streaks (braided)

Jewelry (Necklace, rings, ect.)

Devi-Tran - Devil Kathrin

Out of them, Devi-Tran is by far the easiest, but Vamp- and Demon-Tran are A LOT more fun. In the end, I think Devi-Tran will end up on the sidelines (just an excuse to play with fire really) and I'll be left with conflict between Demon- and Vamp-Tran. I think the change comes because I also had a dream of Vamp-Tran (I want the dress she was wearing however) except she bore a wicked strong resemblance to Lily Munster (not a bad thing, I like Lily) but IDK. Since I've been given the freedom to buy whatever I need for this *happy dance - I can buy other costume bits too (plans to buy a Robin Wig)* I really want to get myself a nice pair of wings. Not those $50 you can make them flap and spread ones, just a nice pair of semi-evil looking wings. Although, I wonder if they work for Vampires? I mean, Winged Vampires (while not non-exsistant) are few and far between...That's why I think Demon-Tran is more leeway...
But anyhow...Opinions?

| I told Oos I would do it, and I am going to follow through.
Oos' trip to Texas is going to have a 100% Get-Nagi-Back Garantee on it.
That's right, if the Oos is not fine* on her trip to Texas, she gets to put a 'Kick Me' sign on Nagi's back and kick her. Plus Nagi will agree to wear the sign for a day** so that OTHER people can share in the fun. Consider this to be the contract agreement...I'd have my lawyer draw up papers but...that takes too much time and money.
So there you have it Oos, a 100% Get-Nagi-Back Garantee...and if all else fails, this gives you something to look foward to when you come home (Come on, who HASN'T dreamed of kicking me? Especially in my already bad knees!)
*Being fine on the trip means anything that is not related to physical or mental health problems. Fine is defined here as being ok after arriving in Texas and, while not necissarily having a good time, at least finding some good things about it. Anything health related, such as a case of the shits due to drinking Texas water, or breaking one's hand is NOT taken into account of the terms of the Garantee.
**Wearing the sign for one day means that I will wear it for the amount of time we hang out together for that day. This day is to be chosen by Oos for to weat the sign, as well as to deliver the kick.
